Before plugging & unplugging the appliance, turn the Control Knobs on the
appliance to‘OFF’. Plug and unplug the power cable holding it firmly with dry hands.
Always unplug the power cable to avoid overheating and avoid stretching it (DO
NOT pull it, tug it or use it to drag the appliance to which is connected).
During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is
recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element
(for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles).
Clean the Glass Lid, BBQ Pan & Suki Pot thoroughly with hot water & detergent
with a non-abrasive sponge. DO NOT use metal scouring pads. Wipe the surfaces
of the BBQ Pan & Suki Pot and the Glass Lid dry. Check that the BBQ Pan & Suki
Pot is securely placed onto the appliance before you start using the appliance.
Notice: you can use a dishwasher to clean the Glass Lid
Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth, and immediately wipe dry.
A “trial run”at high temperatures to eliminate substances like oil that may be
present can be conducted. Place and use the appliance on a horizontal, stable
and heat-resistant surface. Fill about 80% of the Suki Pot with water and place it
into the body on top of the Heating plate. Cover the Suki Pot with the Glass Lid.
Plug the power cable into the electric mains and switch it on. Turn both Control
Knobs to ‘MAX’. Both the Indicator Lights will light up, and the heating will
commence. Smoke and odour may be emitted due to the combustion of these
substances and this is normal. Wait for the water to cool after boiling. Discard the
water. Then the appliance is safe to use.
Should there be a need to stop the appliance from heating, simply turn both of
the Control Knobs to‘OFF’. The Indicator Lights will turn off, and the heating will
cease. Turn off the main switch and remove the plug from the electric mains and
the Power Cable from the Power Cable Socket.
cover the appliance during functioning;
turn on the BBQ Control Knob if no food is placed onto the BBQ Pan;
turn on the Suki Control Knob if no liquid is put into the Suki Pot, or whilst in the
process of adding liquids;
turn on any Control Knob in the process of cleaning or moving the appliance;
obstruct totally nor partially the Glass Lid;
insert objects or body parts inside the protection cover of the appliance;
place large amounts of food onto the BBQ Pan;
overfill the Suki Pot to avoid overflow of hot liquids;
switch the appliance on if the Suki Pot is dry - however, should the pot be found
empty during operation, immediately unplug the power cable and add water to
avoid dry-boil;
touch the Glass Lid, the BBQ Pan or Suki Pot of the appliance, except the Lid
Handle, Handles, Control Knobs or Drain Hole Tray when in operation or just after
switching it off as it will still be very hot and may cause scalding. The bottom of
the cooker becomes exceedingly hot as the cooker operates;
turn the Control Knobs too hard so as to avoid any damage;
place the appliance in the microwave oven or refrigerator, so as to avoid breaking
or damaging it;
leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.
