ADJUSTMENTS AND RUNNING:
This portable device is directly connected to the SPX 50. It is used for the adjustment and continuous
reading of dust emission concentration from the sensor.
A red led indicates the status of the SPX50 alarm (SPX50 relay).
If no button is pressed (default mode):
- the display indicates the average concentration (from 0 to 100% of full scale)
- the bargraph indicates the instantaneous concentration (from 0 to 100% of full scale)
Note:
- the average concentration is made on the last two minutes.
- If the « pocket » can’t dialogue with the SPX50 sensor, the display indicates « dEF ».
1) Sensitivity adjustment:
« sensitivity » key allows to adjust the sensor sensitivity.
Press « sensitivity » key and keep it pressed.
Use « + » key to increase or « –» key to decrease the sensor sensitivity.
When « sensitivity » key is pressed: the display indicates the sensitivity value (from 1 to 100%).
When sensitivity changes, before taking in account the average concentration value, wait it
becomes stable (2 minutes average time). Remark: the dot of the unit flickers to indicate that the
stabilization of the average concentration is in progress.
Gradually adapt the sensitivity to obtain, for example, an average concentration of about 10%.
2) Alarm adjustment:
« Alarm » key allows to adjust the alarm threshold of the sensor.
Press « alarm » key and keep it pressed.
Use « + » key to increase or « –» key to decrease the alarm threshold.
When « alarm » key is pressed: the display indicates the alarm threshold value (from 0 to 100% of
full scale) and the bargraph flickers on the corresponding position.
Alarm running:
The alarm appears if the average concentration (average on the last two minutes) goes over the
alarm threshold. It disappears if the average concentration goes under the alarm threshold.
