INTRODUCTION
This device is designed for the fast detection of dampness in wood
and buildings, on construction sites, at home, in the office or shop,
etc.
The 6200 allows moisture detections in wood down to a depth of
approximately 30 to 40 mm. This scanner is even able to detect
moisture behind ceramic tiles or behind and under various floor
or wall coverings! Simply place device on top of the surface to be
examined – no injection into the object required!
OPERATION
1. Place the 6200 onto the surface or slide it across large areas
to detect any presence of moisture or leaks. For correct
measurements, the bottom sensor must be placed completely
on the flat surface of the material to be measured.
2. The device shows the amount of moist
in proportion to the moisture content
in the material. The result is relative;
the difference between dry and wet
material is indicated and the result
should not be treated as the exact
moist content in terms of weight.
3. The display value is proportional
and depends on the density and
the humidity of the material to be
measured and can be interpreted as
follows:

have to be applied, we recommend to

paint system especially suitable for wet

NOTE! The density may be different for the materials. The limits
should be viewed as an indication.
4. This moisture scanner reacts to metal in the same way as on
humidity. In case there is a nail, armouring or another metal
object to be found inside or near the material to be examined
close to the measuring field (plate on back side of device) the
readout value will be too high and cannot be used.
5. The moisture scanner 6200 is not a high-precision measuring
device. We shall not assume any liability for potential damage
resulting from incorrect use of the device or from the fact,
that the scanner has been used as a measuring instrument. For
more accurate measurements of wood and building material
it is recommended to use instruments with selectable material
groups.

6. Handle the device carefully and use in accordance with
mentioned specifications only.
ZERO ADJUSTMENT
The scanner is always set to zero after switching on and displays the
measured value when the bottom sensor of the device touches the
material.
1. Keep hands away from the bottom sensor.
2. Pay attention to dry hands when using the scanner.
REFERENCE MEASURING
First find a dry area on a material and use it as a reference value,
moisture rating - dry.
Now you can quickly detect higher humidity or leaks as the
measured value increases, either by moving the device over this
surface, or making point to point measurements.
BATTERY
On the left upper corner, a battery level indicator is visible. Replace
battery if the bar indicator is flashing to avoid wrong measuring
values.
SAFETY
1. This device was designed and tested considering the safety
regulations for electronic devices. The trouble- free operation
can only be guaranteed if the usual precautions and safety
instructions in this manual are observed if using the device.
2. Reliability of the device can only be guaranteed if the device
is not exposed to any other climatic conditions as mentioned
under “Technical Specifications”.
3. If the device is transported from a cold to a warm environment,
make sure that the device temperature can adjust itself to the
ambient temperature before switching on. Device safety may be
at risk if:

INTRODUKTION
Denna enhet är framtagen för att snabbt kunna upptäcka fukt i trä
och byggmaterial i byggnader, byggarbetsplats- er, hem, kontor
eller företag, etc.
Med 6200 är det möjligt att upptäcka fukt och läckage på ett djup
av ca 40 mm. Eftersom denna indikator bygger på en kapacitativ
mätmetod som använder sig av ett högfrekvent dielektriskt fält så är
den oförstörande på materialet
– placera bara detektorn på ytan och läs av!
HANDHAVANDE
1. Placera 6200 lätt på ytan eller låt den glida över en större yta
för att detektera fukt eller läckage. För att instrumentet skall
kunna mäta korrekt så måste mätningen göras på en plan yta så
att mät plattorna på baksidan har full kontakt med materialet
som skall mätas.
2. Enheten visar mängden fukt i
proportion till innehållet av fukt i
materialet. Resultatet är relativ. Den
angivna skillnaden mellan torrt och
vått material skall inte behandlas som
vattenhalten i viktprocent.
3. Det presenterade värdet är relativt
och beror på tätheten och fuktighet
hos materialet som skall mätas och
kan tolkas på följande sätt:

Gränsvärderna skall endast ses som en indikering.
4. Fuktindikatorn reagerar på metallföremål på samma sätt som
den reagerar på fukt. I de fall det finns en kabel, metallplåt i
närheten av mätsensorn (på baksidan av detektorn) så kommer
detektorn att visa ett felaktigt fuktvärde.
5. 6200 är en fuktindikator och ska därför inte ses som ett
högprecisions mätinstrument med justerbarer grupper. Om man
vill ha bättre mätnoggrannhet rekomenderar vi att använda
instrument med fasta material grupper.
6. Hantera enheten försiktigt och använda den endast i enlighet
med de publicerade specifikationer.

NOLLJUSTERING
Fuktmätaren är alltid satt till noll efter inkoppling och visar det
uppmätta värdet när bottensensorn för anord- ningen vidrör
materialet.
1. Håll händerna borta från sensorn i botten.
2. Var uppmärksam på att ha torra händer, när du användar
scanner.
REFERENSMÄTNING
Hitta först en torr plats på en yta och använd det som referensvärde.
Nu kan du snabbt lokalisera fukt eller läckage, genom att dra
enheten över denna ytan, eller gör punktmätningar, och när fukt
upptäckts ökar det uppmätta värdet.
BATTERI
I det övre vänstra hörnet, är en batterinivåindikator synlig. Byt ut
batteriet om batterisymbolen blinkar för att undvi- ka felaktiga
mätvärden.
SÄKERHET
1. Denna anordning konstruerades och testades med tanke på de
säkerhetsbestämmelser för elektroniska enheter. Den problemfri
drift kan endast garanteras om de vanliga försiktighetsåtgärder
och säkerhets- instruktioner i denna manual följs om du
använder apparaten.
2. Tillförlitligheten hos anordningen kan endast garante- ras, om
enheten inte utsätts för andra klimatförhållan- den, än de som
näms i „Teknisk specifikation“.
3. Om enheten transporteras från en kall till en varm miljö, se
till att enhetens temperatur kan anpassa sig själv till den
omgivande temperaturen innan den startar. Enhets säkerhet kan
vara i fara om:
• Detfinnssynligaskadorpåenheten
• Enhetenintefungerarenligtspecifikation
• Enhetenharförvaratsunderolämpliga förhållan-denunder
en längre tid.
I tveksamma fall, sänd tillbaka enheten till tillverkaren för reparation
eller underhåll.
